What Do You See?

Look at me

Which part of me do you see?

The anxiety?

Or the fight in me?

I can’t believe

We got this far

Crawling in the dark

Couldn’t see my hand in front of my eyes

Couldn’t tell the truth from the lies

Put on a smiling mask-

That was my disguise

But that grin never reached my eyes

Tell me, are you surprised?
