Nobody told me that not being straight or cis–gendered didn’t automatically mean I was horrible when I was growing up. No kid should have to teach themselves alone how to embrace their differences. No kid should have to fall asleep hating themselves at night and waking up just to relive the same nightmare. I hope that my voice can be the voice I needed when I was younger to serve other young LGBTQ members one day.
