Saoirse, this is incredibly brave. You definitely have my support. I wish we didn’t have to fear what reaction people have when we allow them to see our true selves. I wish you didn’t have to write this letter and send it at all. However, you are displaying an incredible amount of strength.

This letter of yours will for sure help someone else in the future. When I came out to my grandmother, I just printed off a bunch of stuff about Gender Identity Disorder, and she did most of the talking while I cried.

I hope the people you send this to won’t react in an ignorant, insensitive mannor. I just want to remind you that no matter if someone reacts negatively or not, it won’t be a reflection on you and who you are as a person. You are extremely strong and are using your voice to inspire others.
