“Promise”

A poem straight from the heart

World so cold
I always have a hoodie on
Thoughts
Feels like every word stays in bold
Some things are out of my control
But since day one
You made fireworks explode
In my chest

I keep it honest
Your walls — I demolish
Working on us
Overtime — as if I’m at the office
Never been flawless
Wished for you on a shooting star
Maybe it was a comet
I want you for the rest of my life
I promise
