People spend entirely too much for Prom. I’ve seen people take out loans to pay for prom stuff. I’ve seen people borrow a car from the car lot just to take a picture with it. I mean if you want to dress up and enjoy the night, that’s cool — but spending thousands on one night is just ridiculous. I did enjoy taking the pictures though. I had fun, and I can say I went to prom once. I don’t think I spent more than $50 on the outfit I wore.

However, I do want to attend a queer prom sometime in the future — with people I actually like.
