My two closest female friends have battled with how they look for all of their lives. It broke my heart when I found out the dark places their low self esteem mixed with bullying dragged them to. Photographs that have been heavily altered and pasted in magazines portray this impossible goal that drives people to stop eating and force themselves to throw up and cry themselves to sleep. It’s really sad.
