. Amari knows about struggle all too well. Kicked out at the age of 15, Amari goes from a homeless boy trapped in a girl’s body to a young man competing against other men in streetball leagues after seven roller-coaster years.
At the young age of 22, Amari is determined to prove himself on and off the court. Life and society’s suffocating expectations are coming for his neck from every direction possible. Can Amari prove that he’s just as skilled as cisgendered men? Can he build himself into a household name despite all the negative, ignorant assumptions surrounding the “T” part in the LGBTQ community? Or will he let his anger and fustration fuel his crash and burn?
